The act of curiosity will never lead you down the wrong path. I attended a comedy show for the first time and I actually loved it. One can say this was a beautiful solo date, and I appreciated every single moment of it. Life gets heavy, but a laugh will not ruin it, just brighten it. Overall it was a pleasant experience to simply enjoy even in the midst of a global crisis.
April was the month of surprises. A busy month, but a good kind of busy, leading to the most important highlight: completing clinicals. Whew, THANK YOU, GOD. As I look back at the sacrifices, going to class three times a week, working a full-time job, and still showing up for myself and my loved ones every day, I am grateful. One of the most important things I have learned about myself over the years is that whatever I put my mind to, I will accomplish it, and this was just a reminder. In light of completing clinicals, we had a pinning ceremony, and my oh my, I couldn’t stop smiling (like a child who just got their favorite treat). Ten-year-old V would be so proud of you, honey!

Given that the past few months have been extremely busy on my end, I decided to take the rest of the month pretty slow, sitting in my newest accomplishment with gratitude and pouring into myself. I spent a lot of my time baking, cooking, and simply trying new recipes. The kitchen is my happy place; after work, I always look forward to cooking something delicious.
April Cooking
I made banana chocolate chip muffins for the first time, actually, yo, they were moist and delicious. For someone who doesn’t even like bananas, this was a treat, treat!

I also made meat pie for the first time. Now this was interesting because I don’t have a rolling pin, so I used a wine bottle. But overall, it turned out delicious, especially considering the improvisation.

On the other hand, I got my hair done, shout out to my hairdresser. Hands down, she is one of the best individuals I have worked with for five years now. She never fails to amaze me with her creativity and the care she puts into my hair. Just a tip: if you have someone who provides good service to you, don’t let them go.

As we enter the warmer parts of the month, I spent a lot of my evenings going on nature walks because why not.
To April, I appreciate YOU!
